The Bloch Serenade Pointe shoe has a similar shape to the Suprima and Sonata in that the heel is narrow and fits snugly. The platform is wider so it is better suited to a dancer with square shaped toes. This also helps lateral balance and assists dancers who ar inclined to "sickle" of fall off pointe sideways. Often a dancer with flexible feet and /or swayed back legs find that they fall forward off their pointe shoes. The Serenade compensates this with a longer vamp and a stronger shank. The shank is made with a 6-iron body, and a 3-iron centerpiece. The available width fittings for the serenade are A, B, C, D, and E and require dancers to follow break-in instructions. The Serenade MKII has four improvements over the original Serenade, the first being a streamlined satin upper-sides of satin upper have been lowered to reveal more of dancers foot, enhancing aesthethic, providing a more modern, streamlined look as well as reducing bunching of satin when on pointe. Second, the new generation insole is virtually unbreakable creating harder wearing, longer life, better value for money, lighter, moulds quicker to the slpoe of a dancer's arch giving greater suupport when on pointe, and also forces the shoe to sit flatter on stage, reducing rocking and enhancing stability. Third, the Serenade MKII features a longer wing puff to reduce creasing and bunching of satin when on pointe. Finally, there is additional padding under plating to make these shoes quieter by cushioning impact on stage and reducing noise. Great for the serious student throught the professional. Sizes 1-9, widths A, B, C, D, E. Available in European Pink.
