The Fouette pointe shoe by Grishko accomodates the Russian technique of springing onto pointe which develops a more elastic foot. The shoe has a V-shaped medium vamp and fits standard feet with wide metatarsals. The shoe is enirely handmade and is preferred by dancers who wish to feel closer to the floor.

Grishko shoes do not have a drawstring. Grishko believes that if the shoe is fitted properly a drawstring is not necessary and that it is better to criss-cross elastic if necessary.
